I am awed. You have a way of describing a character's inner landscape and of showing the complex relationships between characters that's quite unlike anything I've read. This is just amazing.
Aha! I thought some more about this and why your style works so well -- I'd consider a great deal of this chapter to be a very effective use of "telling".
